CTK consultants come from a wide range of backgrounds and offer
extensive experience in a range of sectors and business types.
Members of the core team include:
Donald Martin
Managing Director
Donald's career has spanned various IT and telecommunications
disciplines, particularly in the insurance and local authority
sectors. Having been involved in IT Management in an international
role he retains a strong focus on delivery of business value.
His specialist skills include alignment of business and IT strategies
and the leadership of complex multi-stakeholder programmes. He is
qualified in the PRINCE2 project management and MSP (Managing
Succesful Programmes) methods. In the past Donald has been a Trustee
and Director of the Communications Management Association (CMA),
Director of the Institute of Communications Arbitration and Fraud
(ICAF) and Chairman of ICAF Ltd. He is also currently a member of the
judging panel
for the prestigious
British Insurance Industry awards.
Raymond Ellis
Raymond is a graduate of Edinburgh University where he read modern
history and politics. During his career with General Accident he held
a variety of different senior management positions within the motor
insurance sector. An experienced member of ABI (Association of British
Insurers) committees and Chairman of the European Motor Panel of Motor
Conference, he was a UK representative at the Motor Committee of the
European Insurance Committee based in Paris. He was Chairman of that
body's International Fraud Group for five years. In March 1999 he
became Programme Sponsor for the UK’s Motor Insurance Database
project.
John Sanderson
John has over 20 years experience in Information Systems support and
design, working mostly within the financial services industry and in
particular, the insurance services sector. During a five year stint
with IBM Global Services he trained as a System Architect and
consultant, achieving recognition within their World Wide Professional
institute. John is a qualified PRINCE2 project manager and a Chartered
Member of the British Computer Society.
Grahame Jordan
Grahame has over 15 years’ project / programme management experience
on complex multi-stakeholder projects across a range of industry
sectors such as insurance, utilities and defence, and frequently
liaises with government departments including DVLA and Police.
Grahame originally trained as a flight trials engineer, then became a
control systems specialist before taking on senior project and
programme management roles including large-scale data migration
projects. In a recent assignment, Grahame headed the Technical Design
team for the UK's Motor Insurance Database initiative. Grahame is a
qualified PRINCE2 practitioner and a chartered Member of the British
Computer Society.
Penny Coombs
Penny has worked for organisations in the public, private and
not-for-profit sectors in a variety of roles including public policy
development and implementation, and EU relations. More recently Penny
has managed multi-stakeholder business projects involving both IT
development and process change and been responsible for business
requirements analysis and final delivery of new functionality. As part
of her work with the Motor Insurers’ Information Centre, Penny was
also responsible for ensuring that the MID programme was consistent
with all necessary legislative requirements. Penny
is a qualified PRINCE2 practitioner.
Nelson Graham
Initially in IT before progressing to senior business management
roles Nelson's specialist skills include governance and compliance,
risk management, and process improvement/reengineering. Nelson's
recent assignments include an FSA compliance project for a major
insurer; a process reengineering project for a major waste management
group; and a
compliance and business analysis role with a leading UK motor
insurance industry agency. Nelson is a chartered member of the
British Computer Society
